A creative journal attesting to the profound personal impact of that first painting lesson beneath the big old mulberry tree ... stubby 3 year-old toes squelching into rotten purple fruit; pink tongue curled out with the effort of forging a wet, sticky, paint masterpiece. African storm clouds billowing just above.

Comfortable Chic

"The essence of interior design will always be about people and how they live. It is about the realities of what makes for an attractive, civilized, meaningful environment, not about fashion or what's in or what's out." - Albert Hadley

I love the images above because they demonstrate that interiors can be "comfortably chic" and allow for the realities of day to day wear and tear, whilst at the same time still possessing a very real beauty.
